The voice of European lawyers

Contributing to the EU DigitalJustice@2030 implementation

On 29 and 30 October, the CCBE took part in the Digitalisation of Justice Conference in Dublin, organised by the Irish Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026 and the European Commission, to contribute the European legal profession’s perspective to the discussion on the implementation of the Digital Justice Strategy 2030.

Dominic Gerstberger, Chair of the CCBE IT Law Committee highlighted the CCBE views on the core elements of e-justice systems, including professional secrecy, equality of arms, access to justice, the reliability of e-justice systems, training and human accountability.

Anna Drozd, Senior Legal Advisor in the CCBE shared lawyers’ experiences with the e-justice systems and recommendations for their development, in particular the need to involve legal professionals in the design and testing of the e-justice systems.

The CCBE looks forward to continuing its engagement in shaping the future of digital justice in Europe.
