Specialist committees and working groups made up of experts appointed by the national delegations discuss and develop policy papers on a wide range of areas affecting the European legal profession.
Migration Committee
The committee monitors European and national developments on migration issues and focuses its work on the protection of migrants’ and asylum seekers’ fundamental rights. It responds to EU initiatives, most notably about the reform of the European Asylum System. The committee also cooperates with other organisations for specific projects on the subject of migration. The focus is on the access to legal information, to legal assistance and legal aid, and to a lawyer as a way to make the rights of asylum seekers effective.
